NIIMBOT now has a printer driver for macOS. Install it and a supported NIIMBOT appears in your Mac's print dialog like any other printer, so you can print labels straight from Word, Pages, Preview or a PDF without going through NIIMBOT's own software. The Mac driver covers the B1, B31, B4, B1 Pro, B2 Pro, B21 Pro, M2, M3 and K3, plus the B4 Pro and K4 that are coming soon. It is a free download from NIIMBOT's official download centre. The pocket D series and the H1S are not covered: they print from the NIIMBOT phone app.
Driver or software: what is the difference?
NIIMBOT offers two ways to print from a computer, each for both Mac and Windows.
- The driver makes the label printer a system printer. Any program that can print can print to it — a Word mail merge, a PDF invoice, a spreadsheet, a marketplace waybill.
- The NIIMBOT software ("driver-free") is NIIMBOT's own desktop label designer. You design and print inside it, with templates, barcodes and batch printing, and no driver is needed.
Until now a Mac only had the second option, through the macOS desktop software. The driver is what changes: if your labels already live in another program, you no longer have to rebuild them in NIIMBOT's app.
Which models are supported
These are the models we sell, with the current versions: Mac driver 1.1.1, Windows driver 3.0.2.1, and NIIMBOT software 4.2.7 for both systems.

Three things stand out. Almost the whole 2-inch, wide and thermal transfer range now works from a computer on both systems. The B2 is the exception on Mac — it has Windows support only for now. And the N1 and C1 print through NIIMBOT's software rather than a driver, which still works on both a Mac and a PC.
Windows coverage has caught up too. The latest NIIMBOT software for Windows supports everything in our range except the handheld D series and the H1S, and the Windows driver covers all of that except the N1 and C1. The K4 is on the Mac driver list only so far, so check the download centre for its other versions when it launches.
Not on the list? Check the latest version
Every model in the table above is confirmed supported. If yours is not there, check the NIIMBOT download centre before you assume it is not: the support lists are updated regularly, and a newer version may already include it.
How to set it up
- Open the NIIMBOT download centre and download the Mac driver (or the Windows driver, or the NIIMBOT software).
- Install it and follow the installer's steps to add your printer.
- In the program you are printing from, choose the NIIMBOT printer and set the paper size to your label size — not A4. A label roll is one label at a time, not a sheet.
- Print a test label and adjust margins if needed.
Our guide to printing labels from Word walks through setting the page size properly, which is where most first attempts go wrong.
D series and H1S: use your phone
The pocket D11, D110, D101 and H1S are not on any of the computer lists. They print from the NIIMBOT app on iPhone or Android, which also opens PDFs. Our phone connection guide covers setup. If printing from a computer matters to you, choose one of the models in the table. Every printer we sell ships from our Singapore warehouse with a 1-year local warranty.
