How to Print Labels from Excel with a NIIMBOT Label Printer

Import the spreadsheet into the NIIMBOT app, drop each column onto one label template, and print the whole batch in a single run. You design the label once; the app repeats it for every row in your file. And because this is a feature of the NIIMBOT app rather than the hardware, every NIIMBOT printer can do it — the S$33 D110 batch-prints from Excel exactly like the 4-inch B4. It is not a premium feature.

Get your spreadsheet right first

Most failed imports are spreadsheet problems, not app problems. Before you start:

  • One row per label. Twenty products means twenty rows.
  • One header row at the topProduct, Price, SKU, Barcode. These become the fields you place on the label.
  • No merged cells, no blank rows in the middle. Merged cells are the single most common cause of an import that looks scrambled.
  • Format barcode columns as text, not as numbers. Otherwise a leading zero disappears and the barcode will not scan.
  • Keep it to one sheet and save as .xlsx or .csv.

Step by step

  1. Connect the printer in the NIIMBOT app. If it will not pair, our connection guide covers that.
  2. Load the roll you will actually print on and let the app auto-detect the size, so your template matches the label from the start.
  3. Create a new label at that size and lay out the fixed parts — your logo, a border, wording that never changes.
  4. Import your file. Choose the Excel or CSV file, and the app reads your header row as a list of available fields.
  5. Place the fields on the template where you want them, and set the font size for each.
  6. Preview a few rows before printing. This is the step people skip. Check the longest product name in your list still fits — that is what catches layout problems.
  7. Print the batch. The printer works through every row without further input.

Barcodes and QR codes from a column

You are not limited to text. Add a barcode or QR object to the template and bind it to a column, and every label gets its own scannable code generated from that row's data. This is what makes the feature worth using for warehouse bin and SKU labels — a few hundred unique barcodes from one spreadsheet, no retyping.

Which printer for which batch job

All of them work, so choose on label size and volume:

  • D11 and D110 at 12–25mm for small inventory tags, cable IDs and file labels.
  • B1 and B21 Pro at 20–50mm for product tags and price labels — the size most small shops need.
  • B31 to 75mm, or the B4 to 110mm when the batch is courier labels.
  • K3 if you run big batches at a fixed desk — 180mm/s and up to 150 labels a minute, mains powered so the battery is never the limit.

Stock up before a long run from the B1 and B21 rolls. Nothing stalls a batch like running out halfway.

If the batch does not come out right

Blank labels are almost always the roll being upside down rather than an import fault — work through printing blank labels. Text cut off at the edge means the template is wider than the loaded roll: rebuild it at the correct size. Barcodes that will not scan usually trace back to that number column being stored as a number, so reformat it as text and re-import.
